SUCCESS with a Capital "S" is the only way to describe our 20th Anniversary Celebration. We raised over $50,000!!!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our success. Special thanks to Kitty Van Bortel, who donated a three year lease on a 2019 Subaru Outback, with maintenance and taxes included.
Thank you to our sponsors for our November 3rd event, the committee that planned the event, and all those who purchased raffle tickets for the car and all the attendees.
We not only reached our goal, we exceeded it. Because of you, more refugees will be able to further their education. Over $24,000 earned from our raffle will enable us to continue and enhance our new Educational Initiatives. These initiatives, that were started in late 2017, have already aided 30 young refugees to further their education.
Realizing that higher education is probably the most effective way to break the cycle of poverty, Saint's Place is assisting young adults ages 18 - 25 years old to obtain higher education, vocational training, and/or medical training with partial tuition, laptop computers, text books, bus passes and exam fees. These are just a few ways we are helping refugees to advance their chances at achieving the American dream.
